Don’t See Your Vehicle? You Still Have Options.

If our Year, Make, Model selector didn’t find an exact match, it does not mean we can’t help. Many classic, custom, and specialty vehicles vary in mounting locations, even within the same model year. Below are the quickest ways to get into the right RetroBelt solution.

Tip: If your vehicle has been restored or modified, a “universal” solution is often the most accurate way to select the right belt. We can help confirm the best option with a couple quick details.

Why your vehicle may not appear

Seat belt fitment can change based on production differences and modifications. This is especially common with classic cars and trucks.

  • Mid-year production changes and trim-level variations
  • Aftermarket seats, floor pans, or interior modifications
  • Custom builds, hot rods, restomods, and swaps
  • Low-production or specialty vehicles
  • Imported models and non-U.S. configurations
Good news: If you have solid mounting points, we can usually recommend a RetroBelt setup using a few measurements and photos.

Find the right belt in 60 seconds

Use this quick checklist to narrow your options fast.

  1. 1
    Choose belt type
Lap belt (2-point) or 3-point belt with shoulder strap.
  2. 2
    Confirm mounting locations
Floor mount, pillar mount, or a mix (common on many classics).
  3. 3
    Check hardware details
Bolt size/thread and spacing, if applicable.
  4. 4
    Pick retractor style and color
Retractable vs non-retractable and a color that matches your interior.

If you want us to recommend the best option, send: (1) year/make/model (or closest match), (2) front or rear seating position, (3) photos of mounting points, (4) any measurements you have.

Note: Universal solutions are commonly used in restorations and custom builds. Proper installation is required for best performance and safety.

Do universal seat belts work for classic cars?

Yes. Universal and semi-custom belts are often the best solution when factory mounting locations vary or when a vehicle has been restored, modified, or reupholstered. The key is selecting the correct belt type and mounting style for your vehicle and seating position.

What information should I send to get help?

Start with your year/make/model (or closest match), which seat location (front driver, front passenger, rear), and clear photos of the mounting points. If you can, include bolt thread size and any spacing measurements. With that, we can usually recommend a good match quickly.

Why would a vehicle not have a “guaranteed” exact-fit listing?

Many classic vehicles have variations by trim, body style, and production run. Over decades, previous owners may have changed seats, floor pans, or mounting points. In those cases, selecting by belt style and mounting location is more reliable than selecting by a database match alone.
